Yesterday I attended one of StreetMeetLA’s meet ups. This one was a walk and it was in DTLA, where we followed these train tracks, followed by walls and walls of graffiti art.
we met at 2800 Medford St, and the tracks are a short walk from there. I didn’t realize so many people of all creative walks would come. About 300 people showed up, and that’s when it got fun. We bought a couple of smoke grenades to come up with... something. I’d never messed around with smoke curtains before, but despite being frustrated at the haze that it brought, I managed to get something pretty cool and unique.
Here’s my dear Lauren Tunzi (Snapchat @medgirl4ever)
With such a power pose, we ignited the ‘nade right behind her to get this purple curtain. It gave a pretty cool effect, and besides, it’s Lauren’s favorite color.
Let me know what you guys think or if you’ve used smoke before. I’d love to see your work! Also, if you’re ever in LA, you should attend one of these meet ups!
Good riddance to you all, and hope everyone has a great week!
